Membership of the IPM Bangladesh

IPM Bangladesh welcomes HR professionals and Students in the field of Human Resources for prestigious membership in the institute.
Generally, IPM PGD students (PGDHRM & PGDLLIR) get priority for membership in the institute after completion of the PGD program.

Any other person(s) who has at least a graduation degree with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from any other similar Institute at home and abroad, or a degree or postgraduate degree in HRM or its equivalent from any recognized University or Institution, are also allowed to become a member

IPM has three types of membership:

IPM Membership types depend on the applicant’s academic qualification, job experience, and the institution’s rules and regulations.

Members are the owners of IPM. IPM Bangladesh strongly believe members’ rights empower them to engage, learn, contribute, and benefit fully from the organization.

1.   Right to Vote
• Vote in General Body Meetings (AGM) or elections for executive committees or councils.
• Influence key decisions, amendments, or organizational policies.

2.  Right to Access Learning & Resources
• Full access to training materials, case studies, webinars, toolkits, HR journals.
• Right to attend CPD programs, certificate or diploma courses (often at a discounted rate).

3.  Right to Participate in Activities
• Attend seminars, conferences, workshops, and networking events.
• Represent the HR body at national and international forums (if selected).

4.  Right to Express and Contribute
• Submit opinions, proposals, or feedback on policy issues or member matters.
• Contribute articles or research to journals or newsletters.

5.  Right to Hold Office
• Contest for leadership positions (e.g., Executive Council, Chapter Heads).
• Serve as trainers, mentors, examiners, or committee members.

6.  Right to Transparency
• Access to financial reports, organizational by-laws, minutes of meetings, etc.
• Request clarification or information on decisions affecting members.

7.  Right to Use Designation and Logo
• Use of post-nominal titles (e.g., AIPM, MIPM, FIPM).
• Display of membership logo or badge on resumes, LinkedIn, or business cards (as per guidelines).

8.  Right to Certificate of Membership
• Official certificate or ID issued for use in professional recognition.
• Annual renewal confirmation and membership standing record.
